Founded in 2010 by Mr. Goh Boon Chye, MG Asia Consultancy is a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory with deep expertise in financial structuring and cross-border transactions. Drawing from decades of leadership experience in both listed and non-listed companies, Mr. Goh established MG Asia Consultancy to serve as a trusted advisor bridging international investors and Singaporean enterprises.

Founder’s Background

Prior to founding MG Asia Consultancy, Mr. Goh held senior leadership and board roles across a wide range of companies in Singapore, including:

• KS Energy Pte Ltd – Executive Officer / Director

• Atlantic Navigation Holdings (Singapore) Limited – Independent Director

• MS Holdings Limited – Independent Director

In these roles, he oversaw corporate governance, strategic growth, and major financial transactions. He also played a part in structuring significant M&A and financial deals, including the arrangement of a USD 200 million convertible loan.

An alumnus of the National University of Singapore (then Singapore National University), Mr. Goh graduated with a degree in Accountancy and is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He furthered his expertise with an MBA from a prestigious U.S. university, equipping him with both Asian and Western perspectives on business management.

International Experience

Following his semi-retirement in 2010, Mr. Goh expanded MG Asia Consultancy’s horizons into China during its golden decade of rapid growth (2010–2017). There, he served as a senior consultant for several large Chinese corporations, advising on financial strategies and cross-border ventures. This experience strengthened MG Asia Consultancy’s international perspective and ability to navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.

Return to Singapore

In 2017, Mr. Goh returned to Singapore to focus on the local M&A market. Since then, MG Asia Consultancy has been instrumental in connecting Japanese and other international buyers with Singaporean companies, offering structured solutions for businesses of all sizes.
